Akpeyi dropped as Iheanacho and Ajayi return to Nigeria latest squad

Twenty-three players invited to the Super Eagles ahead of an international friendly against Ukraine on September 10.

England born midfielder who plays for Glasgow Rangers has received a maiden call-up to the Nigeria National Team.

Six players representing English clubs have been selected, including Leon Balogun, Semi Ajayi, Wilfred Ndidi, Oghenekaro Etebo, Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho.

Benfica fullback Tyronne Ebuehi has also been recalled to the squad despite concerns about his fitness.

The team contains three goalkeepers including Fortuna Dusseldorf goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, eight defenders, five midfielders and seven strikers.
